Customised TYPO3 backend
The TYPO3 backend from HALTEC was customised to the specific needs of the customer due to the necessary individuality. With numerous special fields for different content requirements, it was possible to develop a generic system that also provides the flexibility for complex design elements. The extensive design with several display variants of elements and content shows the scalability of TYPO3, which is often underestimated. Especially in the area of web design.
Seamless collaboration of external systems
One of the most notable features of the new system is the seamless integration with an external job ad system provided by HALTEC. This integration facilitates the import of job adverts into TYPO3 and simplifies user interactions in a unified system. It is planned to even run job applications via the TYPO3 system using customised forms.
In addition, all forms for the various product lines and the entire website can be summarised using an enquiry interface developed by HALTEC. This was a particular challenge, as the product enquiry forms contain a large number of fields in order to prepare the enquiry as well as possible. There are now numerous selection options, which are displayed using TYPO3 forms.
Finding contacts throughout Europe
With the help of a dynamic map, contact persons can be found all over Europe. By exchanging information between TYPO3 and the HALTEC enquiry system (e.g. postcode search), users can quickly identify the nearest contact person using numerous filter options. Once the user has found the right contact person, an enquiry can be sent directly via a form automatically directed to this location.
Improved usability with the help of Vue
In order to improve user-friendliness, Vue.js was used. For example, list views can be filtered dynamically without the need to completely reload the page. The cross-page favourites function even allows users to create a list of reference halls and share them with others via a link.
Dynamic Design
The website is a highlight! Thanks to the design agency claudiusbähr+friends, with whom we worked closely to realise the presentation true to the design. Based on the SCRUM method, we worked in sprints and exchanged ideas with the customer and all those involved, such as the design agency and the IT department, on a weekly basis. This ensures transparency, short decision-making processes and fast results.
